Vicair® Hygiene Cushion for Commode Aperture Seating
The Vicair Hygiene Cushion by Invacare has been designed for those who would be using pressure relieving cushions and require the same level of pressure relief when using a shower commode chair.
The Vicair Hygiene cushion is developed by Vicair, known for their uniquely designed pressure relief cushions that incorporate the innovative Vicair® air cell technology - SmartCell. The cushion, which was designed in collaboration with Invacare, is for use to support those with vulnerable tissue whilst using an Ocean Ergo* shower chair. The structure provides a dynamic surface and support. The cushion contains several hundred small tetraformed air-filled cells, SmartCells, which have very low friction and rounded corners. The cells therefore glide easily against each other and mould to the shape of the body. The result is an optimal combination of pressure relief, support and stability.
- Made up of 4 sections with the possibility of customisation, if needed, just like the other cushions in the Vicair range.
- Offers positioning for optimal redistribution of pressure and helps to counteract shear.
- Can be used preventatively and as an effective complement to the treatment of existing pressure ulcers.
- Consists of a durable low friction material and a mesh non-slip material on the underside with fastening straps in each corner.
- Designed to fit the Invacare Ocean Ergo Range but may be used on other brands of hygiene chairs after a risk assessment.
